Being able to control the entire piece of equipment from one position is an important safety and efficiency design. O'Brien points out that having the ability to drive and control the boom and vacuum from one spot with less time allows the rail company to get back to their business of moving freight.

O'Brien has noticed the railroads looking for better ways to expedite clean up of the rail system and reload material back into railcars in a single process.

"Railcars often must be cleaned of any residual material after reaching their destination because their next load may be a different product.
